Description
The Tree of Life, or Etz haChayim (עץ החיים) in Hebrew, is a mystical symbol used in the Kabbalah to represent the process by which the Universe came into being. It is depicted in this beautiful sterling silver necklace in the form of 10 sephirot (attributes), each represented by a different gem.
The ten Sephirot corresponds to the various qualities of the Creator. They consist of, in descending order: Keter (the Crown), Hokhmah (Wisdom), Binah (Intuition, Understanding), Hesed (Mercy), Gevurah (Strength), Tif’eret (Glory), Netzah (victory), Hod (Majesty), Yesod (Foundation) and Malkhut (Sovereignty or Kingdom).
An 11th gem is also included in this pendant which depicts Da’at (knowledge) which depicts the same principle as Keter (Crown).
Pendant size approx. 2.6 X 1.9 cm
